ARRS-Funded FCP Services for PCNs

First Contact Practitioner services
that work hard for your PCN

Swift access to specialist MSK care for your patients. Streamlined assessment and treatment pathways, fully managed governance, and optimised ARRS funding — delivered by Response Primary Care since 2005.

Seamlessly integrating clinical excellence
and operational efficiency

A First Contact Practitioner (FCP) service places advanced MSK physiotherapists at the frontline of primary care — serving as the initial point of contact for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. This innovative model ensures patients receive specialist assessment, accurate diagnosis and a tailored treatment plan without waiting for a GP referral.

In the UK, 30% of all GP appointments are related to musculoskeletal issues. Our FCP team resolves the vast majority within primary care — freeing GP time, reducing unnecessary secondary referrals and improving patient experience from day one.

We ensure quality patient care delivery while optimising your ARRS funding, resources and processes. This balanced approach empowers your primary care team to deliver high-quality services efficiently and effectively.
